Shopping in Los Angeles

I am back in Australia and writing from home. The month of September was a whirlwind or should I say a fashion tornado as I travelled and attended both NYFW and VFW. I have many more stories to share and here is one to start.

When in LA, its time to shop like a local! A visit to a large market with vendors selling vintage clothing, pre-owned furniture and accessories will have you overwhelmed with either too many purchases of vintage t-shirts or a the purchase of a statement industrial light fitting that you have no idea how you will get it on the flight back to Australia. Either way, a nice stroll outside browsing the numerous stalls is a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning.

Just like searching for amazing earrings to wear in my mothers jewellery collection

Visit the markets on the corner of Melrose x Fairfax if your in LA. You may find a hidden gem or preloved beauty that will be adorned in your wardrobe. Or a cool light fitting that you keep dreaming of long after your visit.

Yes, a piece of Christian Dior spotted at the markets :)

Boutiques

Whilst in LA I came across many small boutique stores with a great aesthetic and an amazing collection of pieces to shop.

A walk through KIN Los Angeles and you will feel as though you have found the wardrobe of the coolest people you know. From Camilla Skogaard heels, Barbara Bui skirts and Vivienne Westwood jewelery this is a one stop spot to add some instant cool to your look.

Whilst instore the KIN crew were preparing for a photoshoot the following day, and I was able to get a sneek peek at a few amazing pieces.

Visit the KIN store on 8555 W. Sunset Blvd, WEST HOLLYWOOD or better yet right now online
