She Coloured Sydney's Town Hall

Sydney's Town Hall became a kaleidoscope of colour, on Friday 26th August for Camilla's Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival show. The great array of prints in hues to mesmerise, encapsulated what Camilla’s Labyrinth collection is all about. With models showcasing the kaftans on the runway, the soft flowing fabrics billowed with the movement of the wearer.
From tribal influences to animal prints, bold colours and crisp whites, this collection had great aesthetic and something for everyone.
The finally saw 20 models striding down the catwalk in their Camilla wedges, with designer Camilla Franks in an embellished animal print kaftan. Camilla's runway presence got the audience feeling both her excitement and passion for the Labyrinth collection.

The short lengths to long kaftans, the many intricate details make these garments in a league of their own. Swarovski crystals reflect the light in patterns to enhance the exclusive Camilla print designs. I particularly like the vibrant hooded short length kaftan with the Swarovski crystal neckline.

Textural Heaven

With cooler days in our Sydney shores, the ability to layer up and keep warm has been a necessity. This got me thinking about wearing all nude... nude colour clothing ofcourse.
How do you pull off an outfit in all one colour? TEXTURE
Texture is key, variations of fabrics, chunky knits, silky smooth fabrics, denims, jerseys...

Bonny Chen has shown the epitemy of textural heaven above. So if your feeling these chilly days, layer up with multiple textures. You will feel good and look great.

Turban, the new chic headwear

With much love i brought my turban last year, and wore it many times... It even came out recently at Fashion Week. After viewing the Camilla Autumn/Winter showcase, where Camilla Franks was sporting her own digitally printed Camilla turban. I started to think are there many fashionable turbans out there....? So the hunt began
From Paul Pioret in 1911, to Sarah Jessica Parker in SATC there has been many fashionable turban moments.

A beach house with the Camilla signature

The blogger showcase was inspiring and I admired the new A/W Woodstock collection. With a little bubbly in hand and a silk crepe kaftan in the other the mood in Camilla’s Bondi Beach House was nothing less than ultimate luxury. Designer, Camilla Franks was there in her new season favourite kozmic blue kaftan and turban, chatting amongst the bloggers in true Camilla style.

With a mix of textures including, chunky knits, moulded leathers and the soft silks, winter warmth was brought to life still embracing the Camilla signature. A monochromatic layered look was modelled with textural accents contrasted to the bright coloured signature garments and chucky knits allowing the Woodstock feeling to come to life. The versatility of these garments was dazzling. Some had the possibilities of halter, one shoulder and strapless in one exclusively printed garment with a few twists and ties. The long cowl neck dress in the voodoo child print had a beautiful shoulder bow and has been calling me ever since we left the showing.

Camilla’s Bondi Beach House may become my beach house when I go back to find my perfect kaftan or two.

Elegant Skull

The first time i saw this ring i fell in love, and well... i just had to have it. It has a chic elegance with an edge brought together by beautiful jewels and craftsmenship. This ring is more than a statement its a piece that i will love forever and will be noticed by more people than i can imagine. Jewelery Designer, Peter Lang created an ambiguous edge to this glamorous ring.

RAFW revisited 'Bec and Bridge'

During a impromptu shopping trip recently, still inspired by the mystical wonders of Fashion Week in Sydney, I came across a akubra styled brown felt hat... Just like that worn in the Bec and Bridge Spring/Summer show.
So i can put my own winter twist on the fashion week style, now only waiting til i can get one of the great summer colours.

Arnsdorf brings it home to Australia

New York based designer Jade Sarita Arnott found her way home to Australia, to share her label Arnsdorf at RAFW 2011/2012. The presented Spring/Summer collection showed a relaxed minimalism of less is more. Crisp almost clinical whites, accented by pale aqua and dip dyed colour combinations in chiffon brought minimalism to new heights. With the hype around this collection before the show began, watchers could soon see for the reasons Arnsdorf is cult followed throughout New York and our shores of Australia.

'Midday rolls into Morrison'

As midday rolled by on Monday 2nd May at Australian Fashion Week, soon to show was Morrison, the Spring/Summer 2011 collection at the Overseas Passenger Terminal in Sydney, Australia. A beautiful collection of earthy coloured skittles to encapsulate the solid coloured summer colllection. Relaxed tailoring was upon us and we were beginning to lust over a multiple items, only to realise we must wait til they hit the stores in Summer. But it will be worth the wait.
All items suitable to layer for a transeasonal key item, adding both elegance and contemporary design to any wardrobe.

STRIPES for every season

For generations, we have seen stripes highly influencing fashion with prints alike. Bold stripes, candy stripes, nautical stripes, horizontal and vertical stripes. Stripes can create a fun fiesta of colour to any outfit. Which will you choose?

The SINGLET dress

Oversize, loose and short... the singlet dress is an easy look to pull of into the coming season. The beach, festival and a quick dash to the shops this item is a quick garment to pull from the wardrobe and create a street chic style.

Why not try statement rings, bangles, hat and/or boots and add accesories to make the look your own.

DENIM FESTIVAL

Denim the staple to every wardrobe, jeans, jackets, shorts, skirts and shirts. But denim shorts seem to be the key item for the festival season. Wear them short, paired with a singlet and boots for a outfit to show the musicians how to rock the festival.

Splash of Pink...

Splash of pink...

With pink a tone of red, the colour is evidently a favourite by the ladies.

Recently watching Gossip Girl, Blair is seen at W wearing an ultimately chic outfit with a twist, bright pink shorts. A very refreshing splash of colour!

With further discovery and research in the blogisphere, Andy wears bright pink pants as seen at stockholmstreetstyle.com

PINK a colour to make you smile, well it makes me smile to see the vivid hue splashed into an outfit. Instant accent to any outfit. Success :)

RED, i see red!

RED, i see red!

Red, the colour Valentino has loved and shown in all his collections. This season RED is definately making a splash on the fashion world.
