The first detox I have done and what a lovely place to call home for the wellness program. Situated 15mins from Phuket airport in Thailand, just minutes from getting off the plane I was experiencing the luxury of Trisara. Intimate and exclusive, every villa has ocean views and a private pool, perfect for relaxing between spa treatments.

My eating program was a menu specially developed for the cleanse program. With choices made prior to arrival, my lunch and dinner consisted of soups, salad and juice. My top picks chilled carrot and ginger soup, Zucchini avocado and passionfruit tartare, and watermelon juice. Breakfast was enjoyed daily at the Trisara restaurant and a buffet full of fresh fruit and juices was a great way to start the day.

My spa program had treatments daily including a Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Maya Abdominal Massage, Sodashi Detox Body Wrap, Indian Head Massage and Foot Reflexology. And prior to some treatments I used the steam room facilities in the spa.

After the first day I was feeling relaxed and content. As a newcomer to the detox world I was a little unsure what I was getting myself into and fondly enough the food portions were healthy, tasty and satisfying. I did experienced headaches, which is a normal occurrence when undergoing a detox.

Going into this wellness program, I was hoping to feel healthier… I not only went home feeling healthier, I went home with a new mindset wanting to continue a healthier lifestyle - Incorporating more vegetables into my diet, drinking tea to assist with digestion and adding good oils such as coconut oil to my meals.

The 3 day wellness package I enjoyed was a cleanse and there are a few other Trisara options too.

Travelling in Style

I arrived at Sydney airport, checked in and headed straight to the Qantas first class lounge. Some may agree, 'It's more about the journey, than the destination' And my journey has just begun. The Spa in the lounge offers wellbeing treatments, this is a great way to relax pre-flight. I was pampered with a foot massage. Overlooking the runway, I enjoyed a meal from the Neil Perry menu prior to boarding. I was now, best prepared for some inflight sleeping hours.

Travelling for some is exciting and others dread the thought of being in the plane for many hours. Flying quite frequently, I have worked out a few essentials that I take on-board with me for stylish comfort. I try to get some rest inflight, so I always have a travel pillow and eye mask. As it can get a little cold as the temperature of the air con changes, I like to have light weight layering pieces. Some great go to pieces like a cardigan, socks and scarf.

Drink plenty of water, hydrating the body especially your skin is so important on board. I bring a lip balm and a hydrating face moisturiser to use throughout the flight. A magazine or two and my head phones, its the perfect chance to catch up on some reading and music.

The Great Singapore Sale

Time to shop!!! A stopover in Singapore and less than 24hours to spend in the shopping malls of Orchard Road. Flat shoes and a loose dress, making life very easy when trying on clothes. I love this clutch I purchased in Bali! It's colourful and embroidered with pom poms. The blue tones accent my custom made leather shoes and these contrast nicely with the orange dress. Must say looking at these pictures I was very bright, colourful and easy to spot...

Blue Bali

I love wearing a bright blue dress, this kaftan I purchased whilst I was in Fiji. Its silver embellishment made it easy to pair with my Witchery mirror wedges. Orange nails are fun whilst on holidays and it contrasts nicely with this blue hue.

Luxury Travel at Alila Villas Soori

Tranquil, luxurious and relaxing is the best way to describe the Alila Villas Soori. Within moments of being swept away to the beachfront location, the bustle of my usual city life was forgotten. Waking up to the sunrise over the rice fields and an exclusive pool at my doorstep to beautifully warm weather in June, was the perfect escape from Sydney's winter.

An early morning yoga class may not have been my thing, but a couple hours in Spa Alila was a soothing sanctuary of wellness and rejuvenation.

Beautifully designed surrounded by the serenity of the countryside in Tabanan. It may be over an hour drive from the airport, but once you are here you will not want to leave.

Morning view from my Mountain Pool Villa, sunrise over the mountains.

Berry compote, yogurt and muesli for breakfast whilst enjoying the views to the Indian Ocean and the calming sounds of waves rolling on the beach. Is this paradise?

Inside my Mountain Pool Terrace, time for some poolside reading.

The pool in my terrace over looks the rice fields.
